Head Varsity Coach, Tim Roy
Coach Roy was raised in a family of lacrosse players in Flemington, New Jersey. He attended Hunterdon Central High School and was a standout defenseman. He brings with him a wealth of head coaching experience and lacrosse knowledge acquired over a lifetime of competing and coaching the game.
He currently runs the Leading Edge Lacrosse youth program and is responsible for player development needs across the program. He also serves as Leading Edge's Head of Recruitment and Player Development for their elite players looking to compete as the collegiate level.
Prior to arriving at Prep in 2014, he served for 4 years as the Head Coach for Montgomery High School in Skillman, NJ. He also spent time as the Head Coach at Ramapo High School (2009 to 2011) and Delaware Valley Regional High School in Frenchtown (2006 to 2011).
Coach Roy proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1998 to 2002 as a Non-Commissioned Officer, based in Camp Lejune, North Carolina. His primary responsibility was within the Military Police and secondarily as an Occupational Specialist and Bulk Fuel Manager.
He is married with four children. His oldest son graduated from the United States Naval Academy where he was a midfielder for the Midshipmen.
