Head Varsity Coach, Greg Morrissey

As a player:

Coach Morrissey is a 2008 Graduate of St. Peter’s Prep. He earned 2 time All-State and 3 time All-Conference honors playing both Midfield and Attack. He was captain of the 2008 Team and was named Prep's Most Valuable Player. Following his time at Grand and Warren, Coach Morrissey played at Messiah College and served as captain in 2011-2012.

As a coach:

Mr. Greg Morrissey first coached at Bishop England High School on Daniel Island, South Carolina. While in the Charleston area, he also founded and coached Team Coastal Lacrosse-- a program comprised of both boys and girls club teams. Coach Morrissey returned to Prep in 2013 and has coached the lacrosse team every year since while also monitoring player's grades, establishing service opportunities for the program, and promoting a team environment that pays close attention to the Catholic values and teachings of the school.

As an educator:

Mr. Morrissey has taught literature at every grade level while serving the community of Grand and Warren. Currently, he teaches English 2 and a philosophy and literature course he created for seniors: The Pursuit of Purpose. As founder and moderator of the Outdoor Education Program and as a National Geographic Educator, Mr. Morrissey leads hiking excursions, ski and surf trips, rock climbs, and more. During the summer of 2017, he completed an unsupported cycling journey from Canada to Mexico with Mr. Pete Geary as a means to create the Global Opportunity Scholarship, a fund which has raised $40,000 to support financially-restricted students on exchange trips and outdoor excursions. Mr. Morrissey is continuously grateful to be able to serve the young men of Saint Peter's Prep.
