Assistant Varsity Coach, Peter Cordrey
Coach Cordrey has been a varsity coach at Prep since 2015. He brings a lifetime of highly competitive lacrosse experience to the sidelines of the Prep Lacrosse Program.
Coach Cordrey played high school lacrosse on Long Island for the perennial powerhouse, Manhasset High School. He distinguished himself in goal at Manhasset and moved on to play college lacrosse at Princeton University. Coach Cordrey was a Captain at Princeton and received All-American and All-Ivy honors. He is a member of the New Jersey Lacrosse Hall of Fame and the Manhasset High School Lacrosse Hall of Fame.
He has coached at many levels of the game including serving as Head Coach of the Columbia University Club Team. He has spent time coaching the elite club teams at Leading Edge Lacrosse and the Building Blocks Lacrosse programs. He has been a fixture on the sidelines for the last 20+ years with the Summit Lacrosse Club and was honored in 2001 with the US Lacrosse’s National Youth Coach of the Year award.
Coach Cordrey is an adjunct professor at Seton Hall University. He and his wife, Ellen, are the parents of four children. The youngest child, Emmet, is currently a member of the Princeton's mens lacrosse team.
